ZOMBIE QUEST FF14 INSPECTOR SERIES
Seriously, I want him as a DPS next time I go into a dungeon! Even if I do feel this is the weakest entry, the weakest entry in a series of quests that contained some of the funniest writing I’ve seen in a LONG time in video games is still strong in its own right. Godbert’s morph into his underwear and then using his Limit Break was just an epic moment on SO many freaking levels. Unfortunately I’d have to say that these were probably the weakest of the Hildibrand Quests. Overall, while the story was VERY amusing and wraps up nicely these quests were a bit lacking in terms of player interaction in my honesty opinion. It MUST be a Gilgamesh fight if I got turned into a chicken! The only real thing we get to do is the battle with “Greg”… which unfortunately was once again insultingly easy. Granted, a LOT of the Hildibrand Quests have been like that in the past, but there were at least some that had us doing SOMETHING in the past. Sadly, there wasn’t really much for players to actually DO during these final quests, which was a bit of a letdown.

You’re only realizing this NOW inspector?! If you get the reference I’m making here you are the coolest person in the world! That’ll all a zombie needs to stop itself from going feral. Well if they’ve had a cup of coffee then their behaviour is no surprise. I honestly thought she had been on the level this whole time, so it came off as a genuine shock that she’d been pulling the wool over everybody’s eyes (though with Hildibrand that’s not really a challenge to do). I have to say, having Ellie be in on these crimes all along was a REALLY nice plot-twist. But in a nice twist on this cliche they said the two were partners in crime, which I liked.

When The Man of A Thousand Faces (or whatever the thief’s called) was revealed to be Ellie’s sister I did find myself saying “REALLY?! You’re going for the ‘evil sibling’ route?!” because I thought they were going to say she framed her. But then Hildibrand’s mother arrived on the scene!Ĭan you say MILF?! Because that it what we have here! Dude… she takes down Greg with just a skillet! Julyan might actually be the most badass character in this entire game! Her entrance actually had me on the floor! I was also a bit worried because while the quips were making me smile, nothing was making me LOL as it has before… at first. I was a bit disappointed that Hildibrand and Nashu didn’t make as flashy an entrance as they normally do this time… they just kinda… walked in… huh… Well honestly just like with the Main Story Quests, it didn’t start out feeling like a finale, but about halfway through it begins feeling like the final act. Just like last time I will be going into spoiler territory! So if you haven’t done the final Hildibrand Quests yet please turn away now!
